On Thursday 4 July, Magma poetry magazine will launch its Summer 2019 issue in London. Magma is pleased to be publishing over 50 poets in this issue, based around the theme of ‘Work’. Poets published in this issue of Magma will be invited to read at the event, and poets already confirmed include Mark Coverdale, Lorraine Mariner, Alison Brackenbury, Fiona Cartwright and Graham Buchan.

The evening will be introduced by the editors of Magma 74 – Benedict Newbery and Pauline Sewards. The poems in this issue were selected from a total of over 2000 submitted. As well as fantastic poetry from new and established writers, there are also articles on poetry and and its relationship to work – and all bound by Joff Winterhart’s beautiful cover image.
